(I don't know how to describe Anthy's relationship with her brother, besides 'requiring serious intervention', though it's hard to tell how much Anthy is complicit in it, since Utena is a deconstruction of fairy tales and Anthy comes across as trapped in a 'good, passive, princess' versus 'evil, active, witch' dichotomy.)

(... I really should just link Nanami or Kozue. FYI, Revolutionary Girl Utena does not have healthy sibling relationships.)

Ehehehe Utena's an amazing series in many different ways-- and the deconstruction of common themes is definitely one of them. Anthy was my favourite ;u; I found her fascinating...
